Voice / Language Instruments

Voice and language tools connect source recordings, UTAU-style aliases, typed phrases, WORLD analysis, ensemble direction, and ambisonic placement.

Workflow

  1. Insert Ambi Encoder Vox on a 64-channel REAPER track and select the ambisonic order.
  2. Follow it with an ambisonic decoder.
  3. Record, import, or generate a voice source.
  4. Segment and time aliases in Vox Builder.
  5. Export the voicebank folder.
  6. Load the folder in Ambi Encoder Vox.

Ambi Encoder Vox

Ambi Encoder Vox is the performance instrument. It loads a vocal WAV or voicebank, retains WORLD pitch, spectral-envelope, and aperiodicity analysis, maps typed phrases to aliases, and distributes as many as sixteen voices through a first-through-seventh-order ambisonic field.

Vox Builder

Vox Builder is the macOS companion app. It records, imports, generates, segments, analyzes, auditions, and exports the voicebank material used by Ambi Encoder Vox.

Keep the complete exported folder together. The WAV aliases, oto.ini, voicebank.json, and optional pronunciation map form one portable source library.
